Online Marketing For Moms Membership
Welcome to episode 8 of The Determined Mom Show. I am your host, Amanda Tento, and I will discuss the new project I have going on, Online Marketing for Moms.
It’s going to be a great opportunity for you, and it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to help as many moms as I can. This membership will focus on branding and other things but SEO at first. So the biggest thing I see moms need is to set up their website. Setting up SEO on your website is the equivalent of knowing that you want to have a garage sale.
You put out all your things and price them, but if you don’t do anything, nobody will find your garage sale. Pay Per Click ads are like Google ads, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, etc. You can think of those as putting an ad on Craig’s List, an ad in the newspaper, or an ad on the Facebook Group.
You’re basically letting people know you’re there and ready for them to buy from you. That’s what you’re doing with the PPC Pay Per Click ads, and when you think about SEO, what you’re doing is you’re just putting signs up in your neighborhood, and if you live in a nice neighborhood with a lot of traffic, people are going to find your garage sale naturally. So if you do that and you know, if you have that natural traffic, you’ll get many more people coming to your garage sale, essentially the equivalent of your website. So that’s a little analogy I like to give people for SEO because it works the same way.
You want to aim to be showing up on the top of Google. You want to ensure people can find your website, and I’m not talking about necessarily branded keywords. For example, if someone already knows about you, they’re going to be searching for your name then you want to be coming up.
SEO is very important because If you don’t do it, then people aren’t going to find you. So, I have been on many discovery calls in the last year. I have done countless surveys of moms, just like you, that own businesses to find out their pain points, and SEO is number one on the list. Right behind it is social media.
Social Media is probably almost equal to it. Still, at this point, I’m going to focus directly on SEO because there are not many resources specifically made for moms that will help guide them through that process.
So there will be tutorial videos on every single step of the process, from site maps to setting up your website. We’re going to go over absolutely everything, and I’m going to give you all of the insider tips and tricks and the easiest ways to do things, and it is going to be amazing.
I have also been active in many mom groups, and I run three different mom groups, and they tell me that the biggest obstacle for them is the cost of SEO campaigns. So what we’re doing with this membership is really giving you back your power regarding SEO and not feeling helpless anymore. You’re going to have step-by-step instructions from the beginning to the end.
It will have tutorials on everything from WordPress to anything involving marketing. The membership’s initial focus will be SEO because I’ve talked about it so much on this show so far. Then we will go into WordPress installation and what plugins you should have on WordPress. You’ll love the course because you’ll learn a lot from it.

This also translates into many other areas of Marketing, but I was encouraged by my mentor Karen Yankovich recently to go ahead and offer the solution to this issue once and for all. I have been working on a similar membership group with a friend that will eventually launch.
But I bit the bullet and got started right away. Talking about this with Karen last Friday and having the site up and an Interest email list already on the landing page with people signing up to it every day!
The first topic will be SEO based on the sheer number of moms I have worked within the last years that are in desperate need of SEO. There will be many more topics coming in the pipeline from WordPress to Social Media and even email systems.
I am giving you a one-stop resource for everything you need to learn and implement. You can easily learn everything in the membership elsewhere, but you won’t learn it in this sequence or in an easy to understand format!
