How to Make Money From Things You Already Love
Welcome to episode 191 of The Determined Mom Show. I am your host, Amanda Tento, and I want to talk to you today about how to make money from things you already love, and products you already use. The software you already use, clothes you already wear, and brands that you love.
It’s very. An easy thing to do, especially if you already have an email list or an audience or anyone that you talk to about things, I mean about business, about personal, like it can be anyone in your life.
So it’s a very important thing and very easy to do, and that is affiliate marketing. So what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is when a company pays you for someone that you’ve referred to them. It can be something like an email marketing system.
It could be, I don’t know, just there are so many different things. It could be clothing, it could be as simple as shoes. Anything can be set up to be affiliate crypto gold. Coins. Like literally anything that you can think of can be an affiliate program. Now, how in the world can you find this on whatever website that you’re looking at and see if they do have an affiliate program if you scroll all the way down to the very bottom, and usually in the footer menu, they will have some.
Terms like referrals or partners or affiliates or something like that, that will allow you to sign up and be able to give your link. So they’ll create a special link for you to your audience, whomever you’re giving this to. So then that way they will be able to sign up under your link and then you will get credit for that.
I’m sure that you’re aware of Amazon affiliates, and if you’re not, this is a great program. If you have a decent amount of traffic on your website, you can sign up to be an Amazon affiliate and then. Any links that you send out with Amazon products will have a certain percentage of that, and there’s a cookie that it puts into someone’s browser that gives you a certain percentage of whatever they purchase from Amazon for a period of time.
Very powerful, and a great way to make passive income. And if you are looking for other ways to make passive income, Lindsay Sutherland helped us with that. In episode 174, she shared a lot of other pretty unique ways that you can make passive income and you do have to start somewhere. You do have to build it.
So I don’t wanna say it’s like easy income, but it’s a. Extra source of income for you. If you’re looking for another source of income, this is a great way to earn it. You could do an affiliate blog so you can make a blog that’s all about a certain topic and use affiliate links in there. I got into an affiliate marketing
I would say about five years ago, and I really didn’t do much with it, but I’m vowing to do a lot with it in 2020 because I’ve had some pretty nice affiliate checks coming in recently, just from some links that I’ve shared here and there. And I wasn’t even expecting these links to be fruitful, but they have been.
