Welcome to The Determined Mom Show. Welcome to episode number 53 of the determined mom show. Today, we’re going to talk about how you can get your WordPress site up and running in just five days.

This is often the most challenging part of building a website. This is what will cause people to go to Weebly or Wix or Squarespace because of the ease of setup. WordPress does have some technical hurdles to overcome but in the long run, it is definitely the best choice for your website.

How You Can Get Your WordPress Site up and Running in Just 5 Days

There are many other benefits to using WordPress.

Some of those benefits are:

  • One of them is that you can optimize your site. You can control absolutely every little aspect of your site, every little last detail. It’s especially awesome for SEO, Google loves WordPress sites more than the others. One of the main reasons is that sites like Shopify or Wix tend to be on the same hosting servers, whereas a WordPress site can be hosted anywhere with premium hosting.

  • Another reason is that it is super inexpensive. So you may be paying $30 to $40 a month using another website builder. Once you purchase your domain name, then you pick your hosting, which can be between $3 – $15 per month. If you want to pay monthly, or it can be as low as $100 a year. So there are lots of different options for you as far as that goes.
  • One, if you want to have a podcast, you don’t have to create a whole new website for that. You can actually just add it to your current website, WordPress, you can just embed the little players and, you know, have those on each page. And there you go, super simple, super done. And I love that part of it.
  • You could have a membership site, you can simply add a couple of plugins. You can have courses on your website. You own that content, It’s not like Teachable or Thinkific, where you have to pay a monthly fee or they take a percentage of your sales.
  • You don’t have to worry about those things when you have WordPress. The only thing that you’re going to have to worry about is your hosting fees, your domain price, like whatever you picked, and any premium plugins that you may want to use, which I don’t use very much. The only ones that I use are membership plugins.
  • You can choose your preferred Payment processor like, PayPal or Stripe or anything like that when you’re processing transactions, those are really the only things you have to worry about.
  • You could also create an online forum.
  • You could create an eCommerce store.
  • Directory Website or even a classifieds website.

There are over a thousand things you can do but the amazing thing is that you don’t have to keep changing from like Wix to Squarespace or Squarespace to something else because they’re not working for you.

Plus you don’t have to pay for an extremely expensive site like Kajabi or something like that. That’s a pretty hefty annual fee or a monthly fee. So those are the things that I love about WordPress and why I totally think that everyone should be on WordPress.
