Google Business Profile Manager Can Help Your Lash, Brow, or Cosmetic Makeup Business Thrive

Welcome to The Determined Mom Show. The only marketing podcast dedicated to guiding mom CEOs into tranquility, and wealth and multiplying those precious moments. I am your host, Amanda Tento, and today we’re going to talk about how Google My Business now called Google business profile manager can help your lash brow or cosmetic makeup business thrive.

Now I’m going to be talking about this specific business because it’s easier to focus on one industry. However, this can work for chiropractors, hair salons, nail salons, and any type of business that has a high volume of customers and that has a service-based business.

So the first thing that I want to talk about is search volume. When you type anything on the internet, you want to know how many people are actually searching for this service in a month. Now, if you’re not in the top three of those searches near you, you are not getting nearly the amount of customers that you should be getting.

So what happens is someone searches, one of these terms and Google displays whomever they think should be displayed for this particular search term. If that person has good reviews, they’re going to display them. If they have a great website, that’s fast and SEO optimized, they’re going to rank them. If their reviews are keyword rich, then they will rank them.

How Google My Business Can Help Your Lash, Brow, or Cosmetic Makeup Business Thrive

There are so many different factors that go into it but the bottom line is if you pay attention to your Google My Business listing and you use the right keywords and you do all the things that you should be doing, you’re going to have a much better chance of being in that top three.

Let’s talk about Eyebrow services. So “eyebrow waxing near me” literally has 110,000 searches per month in the United States. That’s an insane amount and “Professional eyebrow shaping near me”  and “Eyebrow Waxing” has 49,500 searches per month in the United States. So what that means for you is that you have so many hundreds of thousands of opportunities to target the right people and to get those right people calling you and booking your services.

The next thing I want to talk about is reviewing quantity. Having a lot of reviews is going to be very important because if a customer searches your business category and three results come up and one of them has 450 reviews and it’s like 4.8 Stars and another one has 10 reviews and has 5 Stars and then another one has like 200 reviews and they have 4.6 Stars, Who are they going to choose?

They’re going to look at the one with the highest number of reviews and the highest rating combination. So someone that has 200 reviews and has a 4 .7 is not as good as someone that has 500 reviews and a 4.8 Star rating.

When we look at what Amazon has taught us over the last couple of years, we’ve been conditioned as consumers to look at reviews before we purchase anything. This is true for services as well and is something that people want to know what everyone’s experience was with your company.

Everybody wants to know what went wrong, especially when you’re talking about something as permanent as tattooing or eyebrows or housing development etc. So it’s definitely important that you take that seriously and start asking your customers for a review.

They want to see how your business performs and they want to see the before and after photos of services. You should be using the keywords in your reviews and in your posts and the best type of posts to do and this is an insider secret for you, is an offer and Offer. This post type tends to get thousands of views more than a regular post.

A regular post is like what’s new and it might be some sort of update about your business, some sort of information, or anything like that. Those are always good posts to do. However, an Offer post is going to be displayed so much higher on Google’s algorithms than any other posts because it’s got an expiration date on it.

First of all, you can make your offer expire whenever and it’s also a bit more urgent and it’s got a good graphic to it. You have to have a great graphic in order to go with your offer. So those are all reasons why Google bumps those up.

The second thing that you should have learned is there is a huge search volume for businesses in your industry and it’s really important that you’re using all of those keywords, not only in your reviews but also in your description and also in any of your posts. When you utilize these tips your website and GMB views will skyrocket.
