Google My Business Series #7: The Easiest Way to Respond to Google Reviews
Welcome to episode 145 of The Determined Mom Show, I am your host, Amanda Tento and this is the final episode of the Google My Business series. You’re probably wondering, or maybe you’re not why we only had seven or why we had seven.
So today we’re going to talk about the easiest way to respond to reviews. This is something that you’re going to want to do immediately and then that way you don’t have to even think about it. It’s just basically like responding to a text message, that’s how easy it’s going to be for you. People can message you when they search for the services that you provide in your area, they can message you right from the Google search.
So the first thing you’re going to do is go to either the Google play store or the iTunes store and download the My Business app from Google. This is the most effective way to answer reviews and direct messages from your customers.
For example, if you have a hair salon and someone has a question, like, “Do you have someone great at this type of haircut, like long bobs or angled bobs, or do you know, any of those things?” Your customer is contemplating whether or not they should choose you or another salon. So If you have the app on your phone, you’re going to get that message directly on your phone on Google My Business.
This will also work for anyone else that has access to your Google My Business on their phone. So if you must have an app you or your “front desk” person has access to it. So even In case, you’re on vacation or you’re with a client and you can’t respond right away, someone in your business will have access to your potential customers. Also maybe they’ve messaged three different businesses and whoever’s the first one to respond is going to be the one that they go to.
That can be you. So again, the My Business app on the iOS App store or Google play is going to be your best and easiest way to respond to reviews or messages because you’re going to be able to just take your phone out, look at the notification and click on it and respond to that review from wherever you are doing.
When you respond quickly that person is going to say “Oh, wow, they already responded to my review. That’s great.” This is why I love the Google My Business app. So very easy for you to use in your pocket. Super easy.
I hope that right now, you’re taking out your phone and if you don’t already have it installed, you need to install it. The final step of that is to go into your Google My Business listing and “Turn on Messaging” because if you don’t do that, you’re not going to get those messages.
You still will get the review notification. So that’s good, but you will also want to make sure that you turn on messaging. I hope that you enjoyed this Google my business series.
